This map of Mt. Rainier is a topographic map. It shows both man made and natural features of the surrounding area of the mountain. These maps are used mostly by people that want to understand the geographic characteristics of the area of study. I choose this map because I love Mt. Rainier and hopefully I too will be using this kind of map to study before my hike to the top!
